Question: How does mobile payment work? The Trusts (Rachel’s Angels and Inkwenkwezi) will pay the annual share dividend to the trust beneficiaries into a mobile account created for each shareholder; the money is available to you like in any other bank account. How do I access the money in my mobile account? When you receive an SMS from the Trust to inform you that the money is in the mobile account, you will be able to buy airtime (top up MTN, Vodacom or Cell C airtime), transfer money to other traditional bank accounts (your own account or that of family or friends) or pay for transactions online or at any EasyPay (http://corporate.easypay.co.za ) outlet (you can find a list of outlets here (http://tinyurl.com/lnsh3b). What will it cost to buy airtime? There is no charge. What will it cost to transfer money to my bank account? Depending on the bank where you have the traditional account, there will be a transfer cost, but it varies from bank to bank. But this cost is generally LOWER than costs associated with over-the-counter banking (e.g. cashing or depositing checques) How is this mobile service different from a traditional bank account? Not very different. The mobile service works with all South African banks. You can deposit and withdraw funds. There are NO monthly fees and we process your transactions to other account holders immediately, 24 hours a day, all year round. You do not need to have a credit check and you do not need to have a credit card to use your mobile account. How safe is mobile banking? Mobile banking is just as safe as traditional banking as long as you keep your PIN a secret. It is certainly safer than receiving a share dividend checque in an envelope in the mail, especially if you change address often or live in an area where the postal service is not reliable.
• It is the convenience of banking on the go – you take your bank with you anywhere you go. What happens if I loose my phone?
