Schools assist and support learners and mentors with the mentor/protégé process. They can apply every second year to be part of the MultiChoice SA Fort Hare Inkwenkwezi project. Advertisements are placed in Media24’s daily and Sunday newspapers. All applications are reviewed thoroughly and are submitted to a strict selection process. Schools that are accepted attend a formal information session and must enter into a contract with Media24 to ensure that the school supports the programme completely. This is necessary because the MultiChoice SA Fort Hare Inkwenkwezi Trust realises that the programme cannot be successful without the support of the school’s principal and senior management. If the school comply with the requirements of the programme, it will receive Media24 and MultiChoice shares.
